Xcel Coaching Position Available
Legacy Gymnastics is looking for energetic and committed employees to coach within our USAG Women's Xcel program (Bronze through Diamond). We are looking for qualified, experienced individuals that are dependable and have a passion for coaching competitive team gymnastics at the highest levels in a well established program.
General Job Responsibilities
- Daily coaching responsibilities associated with coaching Xcel athletes in a competitive environment. Typical Xcel athlete is in the gym between 6-15 hours per week depending on division.
- Perform administrative tasks associated with athlete management such as lesson and goal planning, attendance, parent notifications, etc.
- Coach 18-28 hours per week.
- Hours during fall/winter/spring will be afternoon/evening, during summer will have some morning hours.
- Xcel Gold through Diamond division coaches will have some minor company paid travel during competition season.
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Preferably two or more years experience working with USAG Xcel teams in an assistant or lead coach capacity.
- Strong technical background with a strong knowledge of the USA Gymnastics Xcel Code Of Points.
- Must be willing to spot athletes when required
- Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with athletes, other staff, and parents
- Must be enthusiastic and contribute positively to our gym culture
- Must possess the willingness to be a team player and work with other staff and athletes to reach common goals
- Must pass NCSI background screening
- Must not be on the USA Gymnastics Permanently Ineligible Members list
